All propellers are fabricated using high quality materials predominantly brass. Brass, usually copper alloyed with zinc, is easily shaped, stamped and deep drawn. It has fair electrical conductivity, excellent forming and drawing properties and good strength. My propellers are fabricated from brass sheet and round bar and typically of alpha grade. Fabrication methods include brazed joints at the boss/blade interface providing a very strong and durable joint. Diameters, profiles and blade angles are shaped and controlled using appropriate jigs and fixtures to enable a high degree of precision enhancing smooth vibration free running. All propellers are individually polished and finished by to a high quality polished surface finish. Range is available in 2, 3, 4 and 5 blade configurations dependant on the type of propeller. Options include a wide range of diameters and thread sizes including left and right hand systems. When ordering propellers with reference to direction of rotation, please remember L.H. propellers turn anti-clockwise and R.H. propellers turn clockwise when viewed from astern. As a general rule, single screw ships have a right-hand propeller. However, some continental-built ships may have left-hand propellers due to the direction of rotation of some of their diesels. Twin-screw ships nearly always have outward-turning propellers at the top when in ahead mode. This is because outward-turning propellers are more efficient than inward-turning props.
 

All propeller shafts are made from stainless steel and available in a large selection of lengths from 6in to 20in. The shafts can be threaded at either both ends or one end only as required and are available in 4mm and 5mm diameters. They are supplied with a s/s nut and washer. Brass tubes to carry shafts are fitted with Phosphor Bronze bearings are also available in various sizes from 4in to 18in. and in 4mm and 5mm diameters. Longer shafts and tubes can be made to customer’s requirements.

All components are made to the exacting standards and materials as that available in individual products. Each propeller set is scaled to original specifications so you can be confident of compatibility.
